Four Months!

Isaac had his 4-month check-up today and the pediatrician says he is growing and developing well. He is smiling, laughing, reaching for objects, jumping, and rolling over. The doctor even commented on Isaac’s great disposition and beautiful smile. Every mother loves to hear that, even if he probably says that about all his patients.
Here are the results of Isaac’s visit:
Length: 2′ 0.5″
21.65%ile
Weight: 16lb 8oz
69%ile
Head Circumference: 16.34″
45.55%ile
I think Dan and I will measure Isaac’s length ourselves later. When he was 1-month-old, his length was in the 47%ile. At 2 months, he was at 42%ile. So the current 21.65%ile sounds a bit on the low side to me. The doctor insisted that Isaac is growing at a good pace, but it wouldn’t hurt to measure him again at home. I know that what is most important is that he is healthy and happy. For that, I am a grateful mother.
Hanukkah!

Isaac’s first Hanukkah was a success! Dan told the story of Hanukkah and Isaac was even able to help with lighting the first candle. He was very intrigued by the candles and could not stop staring at them. The funnest part of the night was when the three of us got to sing and dance! Isaac can hardly believe we get to do this eight times in a row! 😀

Thanksgiving

Here are some shots from Thanksgiving. Isaac loved hanging out with Safta and Pop Pop and his cousins. Avery is pretty hard to pin down, but there are a few good ones of Zoe being a great big cousin!

1. We think Isaac has started teething. He’s not sleeping in the picture below. He’s just gnawing the heck out of it.
2. He has discovered that his toes are portable toys.
3. He loves the band, Queen. He was mesmerized by their performance on t.v. We’ve actually never seen him so entranced before!

Rolling Over

This is a couple weeks late, but at the request of PopPop, here is a video of Isaac rolling over. Officially, though, he rolled over on Nov. 13th. It was a week before his 3-month birthday. All that time he spent climbing on Mount Daddy paid off!

Three Months

Happy (belated) three-month birthday, Isaac! I fell asleep early last night and didn’t get to post these pics on the proper day, but rest assured they are all from his birthday.
Some of Isaac’s new tricks: rolling over from his back to his stomach (he’s particularly proud of this one!), screaming with all new tones, screaming with extra volume, being angry (his dragon is starting to show!), and jumping (with a little help). He still loves the bathroom fan and looking in the mirror, making the bathroom his favorite room in the house.
Anyways, here’s his 3-month picture and a couple of pics with him looking cute and mommy looking beautiful.
