Two Months

Happy 2nd (month) birthday to Isaac! Our little dragon has learned some new tricks this month, like smiling and sleeping through the night on occasion. He’s also learned how to really crank up the volume on the cries when he’s hungry. The dragon must eat!!
Overall, though, he’s a great little kid so far. Here’s our picture of him at two months. Notice the Halloween theme? Subtle, I know. See if you can spot any changes from one month.
Safta’s Visit

Safta came to visit Isaac in Foster City today and he was extra good (and cute) for her. He happily let her feed him, let out several big burps for her, and even smiled several times just so that she can smother him with more kisses.

I Got A Flash

I bought a flash. Since Isaac is moving around a lot more, I wanted to be able to get some good pictures that stop motion. My old method of photographing him in low light (fast lens, high ISO) is good but only to a point. Any movement can really ruin the photo so the keeper rate is pretty low.
Of course, the keeper rate while I learn the flash is going to be pretty bad too, but you take what you can get. Here are some fun shots using the flash on camera and trying different techniques (direct, bounce, diffuser, etc) out.

Dan and I have been really bad about posting new pictures and videos of Isaac, so here’s one I have from yesterday. It was my first time recording Isaac and it was with my phone. You might want to turn down the volume. I promise I will post better quality videos where I’m less loud and annoying. 😛
