Isaac has been a ball of energy these days.\u00a0 As you can see from the five-ish month photos, he is constantly moving which makes for even more great pictures.\u00a0 Additional new developments include grabbing everything that is within arms-length and then putting it in his mouth, barrel-rolling but only to the right, he has become a drool machine, and he’s able to communicate without only crying.<\/p>\n
Isaac’s latest thing is to make the “Mmm…” sound.\u00a0 Every time he does that, we encourage him more by saying M-words to him like “Mama”, “Monkey”, and\u00a0“Moo”.\u00a0 I’m crossing my fingers that his first word will be Mama!<\/p>\n
Things he is\u00a0beginning to outgrow are trips-to-the-bathroom for soothing and his swing.\u00a0 I don’t remember when was the last time we had to resort to the bathroom fan to soothe him.\u00a0 For the most part, hugs from Daddy or Mama work just fine.\u00a0 And the swing, his feet are beginning to hang out at the end.\u00a0 In the past, the only way he could sleep was in the swing at maximum swinging and with crickets chirping.\u00a0 We would go through at least 4 D batteries a week!\u00a0 Now that he is beginning to be too big for the swing, we started having him learn to sleep in his crib.\u00a0 The downside is, since he started spending his nights in the crib, he no longer sleeps through the night.\u00a0 He wakes up once during the night for a feeding, which isn’t so bad considering I have other friends whose babies wake up 2-4 times.<\/p>\n
We have to start child-proofing the apartment now because Isaac loves to barrel-roll across the room.\u00a0 Below is a picture of what Isaac gets himself into when I leave the room for 1 minute to make him some oatmeal cereal.<\/p>\nngg_shortcode_0_placeholder\n
I am so enjoying Isaac at this age.\u00a0 He is so much fun and is such a happy baby.\u00a0 Friends always ask me if he always smiling or if he’s just in a good mood at the moment.\u00a0 I can honestly say that he is always smiling and laughing.\u00a0 Of course, Isaac does have his moments when he’s unhappy about something, and he lets you know that he’s unhappy.\u00a0 In fact, he lets everyone in the room know.\u00a0 He’s very much like his Daddy in that he when he is upset, he has a pretty bad attitude.\u00a0 I wouldn’t expect a child of Dan to be any other way.\u00a0 But those moments are very rare.<\/p>\n
From now on, whenever I post a photo up on Facebook, I’m going to try to remember to also post it on this website.\u00a0 I know there are many people without a Facebook account but would really enjoy looking at Isaac’s pictures.<\/p>\n
