I received some wonderful news from our genetic counselor this afternoon.\u00a0\u00a0 Freckle’s second genetic screening went very well!!!\u00a0 For diseases such as Down Syndrome, Tay Sachs, and Spina Bifida, his chances were as little as 1:100,000.\u00a0 The counselor said the results were the best possible results a baby can have.<\/p>\n
I also went to visit Dr. Beddow today for a quick check-up to make sure Freckle and I are progressing well in the pregnancy.\u00a0 The appointment was literally 10 minutes long.\u00a0 She checked Freckle’s heartbeat, which was normal.\u00a0 And then she felt my belly a bit to make sure Freckle is now up to my bellybutton, which he certainly is.\u00a0 I still haven’t gained any weight since first visiting her in early January, but she says for me to not worry about it.\u00a0 We both think that I was probably heavier than usual since it was right after the holidays and using that as a reference weight isn’t necessarily the most accurate.\u00a0 She even made sure to tell me that she does not want me to actively try to gain weight.\u00a0 So I will continue doing what I’m doing, but I’m sure next month I’ll be heavier.\u00a0 I feel like I’ve been getting bigger by the day ever since I past the 4.5 month mark.<\/p>\n
So good news all around this Wednesday afternoon.\u00a0 Freckle and I are feeling pretty good today!<\/p>\n
